Chasing dreams is a photographic exhibition produced by Nick Carrick and highlights the Mornington Peninsula and the aquatic beauty that makes it so special. Nick’s work showcases the sea and how unpredictable, and ever-changing the ocean is. On top showcasing the sea and surf that the Peninsula is blessed with, Nick’s work also provides a glimpse into the relationship between the rocky shorelines and the people that traverse them to be at home in the water.
About the artist
Nick is an aspiring surf and lifestyle photographer with a deeply rooted passion for the sea and surf. Growing up on the Peninsula Nick’s always had a strong love affair for the surf coast of Victoria and the Peninsula itself. Doing whatever it takes and using the equipment at his disposal, Nick strives to get as close to the sea as possible and provide people with a whole different perspective of the ocean. This is Nick’s first solo photographic exhibition, telling a story about the ocean and also the progression of his own artistic and photographic capabilities. From underneath the waves, to up in the sky above them, Nick’s photographs are moments in time that will never be repeated and provide a truly unique adventure.
