Emma Holt is a 20-year-old visual artist based on the Mornington Peninsula. Specialising in oil painting she expresses herself, body and mind through her art work. Emma has experienced multiple chronic illnesses including a diagnosis of bipolar in 2018. At the ripe age of 20 her life experiences have had a major impact on who she is as an artist today.

“Our family uses the term ‘the other day’ all too often when recalling events and moments from our adventures,” says Janis. “We always have a laugh at how far we stretch the span of the measurement, so it seemed the perfect name for this exhibition.”

The Peninsula Above & Below exhibition is a collaboration between two photographers with a passion for the ocean, Matt Burgess and Matt Testoni. The exhibition presents a unique perspective of the Mornington Peninsula, showcasing ocean-inspired images from Above & Below. Burgess takes us Above the waves with his spectacular images featuring ocean landscapes of turbulent waves and stunning sunlight. Testoni shoots Below the surface, capturing the unique and beautiful inhabitants that lurk in the unique underwater world of the Peninsula.
